Client operated two FAST (free ad supported television) channels in the United States. Pirot Media has doubled the number of platforms taking the channel(s) in the US and turned the service into an international brand, securing deals to launch in ~10 other territories. Seeing an opportunity for growth, Pirot Media helped create Spanish and Portuguese versions of client’s channel to become a first mover in the space. Pirot Media also instituted a programming stunt strategy which has driven tremendous free promotional placement with its partners.

Client offered a direct-to-consumer SVOD (subscription video on demand) service. Pirot Media was hired to bring this service to more platforms, and has delivered on this promise by securing partnerships with Samsung, Vizio, The Roku Channel, Apple TV, YouTube TV, Comcast, Cox and more. In addition, Pirot Media created a new line of business for the company, spearheading the launch of six English and three international FAST channels. Additionally, we formalized a partner marketing program to help drive promotional support for the businesses.

OVERSEAS NETWORK ENTERS US MARKET

RESULT: SECURED DISTRIBUTION ON ALL MAJOR CTV AND LARGEST IP CABLE PLATFORMS IN THE US AND CANADA
Client contracted Pirot Media to help launch their North American business. The company operated linear cable networks in Europe, but it became clear that business model would not work in North America. Pirot Media proposed a new business model which has become quite successful. The new service, a “freemium” application, allows user to sample the content for free (supported with advertising) and/or subscribe for a more robust, personalized experience. Client has since launched the freemium app worldwide. Pirot Media also drove the company’s decision to launch FAST channels, which now account for the vast majority of its US revenue.
